Funeral Services for Nurses
Our Honor Guard attends funeral or memorial services requested by families, wearing our traditional white uniform. We honor the memory and legacy of devoted nurses through our solemn presence.
The Ceremony
The ceremony typically consists of:
- We stand guard at the casket or simply provide a presence at the visitation.
- Recite a “Nurses Prayer”
- The Florence Nightingale lamp is presented to the family.
- A white rose is placed on the Nurse’s casket at the end of the ceremony signifying their devotion to their profession.
- Perform Nurses Final Call to Duty.

For those placed in my care;
